Mike Souza is a 3rd generation Tracy resident and is married with 3 children. Mike’s twins both attend Discovery Middle School while his oldest daughter is currently enrolled in college. Mike is a partner at Souza Realty and Development where he specializes in the development, consulting, and land sales. He also serves on the Boys and Girls Club board, the Grand Foundation, and Tracy Sunrise Rotary.
For over 15 years, Kim has been an analyst at Albertson’s/Safeway Northern California Division. She has lived in Tracy for 16 years and attended Moorpark College. Kim is a foster parent and her child attends the Tracy Learning Center. In her spare time, Kim enjoys volunteering at Pet Adoptions of Tracy.
Tim was raised in south San Jose and has been a Tracy resident for 15 years now. For the last 20 years, he has worked for the city of Sunnyvale as a Public Safety Officer. Tim and his wife Valerie have been married for over 2 decades and have 4 children; all of whom attend the Tracy Learning Center. Tim enjoys mountain biking, watching college football, and spending time with his family.
Jeff grew up in Pleasanton and moved to Tracy in 2002 with is wife Tarrina. Together they have three children, all students at TLC. Jeff served on the board from 2009 – 2012 and has recently returned in 2017. After graduating college from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jeff spent two years teaching music in the Livermore School District. Today he is a sales and marketing executive in the food industry and performs and tours professionally as a jazz trumpet player.
Amber was born and raised in the bay area, moved to Tracy in late 2015, and is married with 2 children. Amber’s eldest child is a Kindergartner at TLC. For the last 5 years, she has been working as a Clinical Social worker in the medical field. In the past, Amber has worked with a diverse population including children and families in CPS, juvenile and mental health systems, as well as a school-based therapist. Amber enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, and exercising.
Tracy has been a board member at the Tracy Learning Center for over 5 years. She is the parent of a 4th grader and volunteers in classrooms and attends field trips regularly. Tracy is an employee relations officer and youthful offender program correctional counselor for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. She is an active member of her church’s Mary Ministry and enjoys working with children, volunteering with sports-related activities in the Tracy community, dancing, traveling, going to the movies, and watching TV.
Kerry is a 20 year resident of Tracy and retired from TUSD in 2004. He was a high school social studies/history/computer teacher for 15 years and an administrator responsible for district-wide technology for an additional 19 years. Kerry was recognized in 2004 for his work in educational technology by being a recipient of the “Microsoft Centers of Innovation” award. Kerry has also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in French-speaking West Africa for over 6 years. Prior to joining the Peace Corps, he served as a TLC board member and participated in the original planning for our current school site. Kerry was invited to join the TLC Board again in 2015.
